Of course free will is an illusion. What did you expect? Even if you ignore this as a reality, it still exists. We cannot do everything we want because we are strapped down by the endless burdens of our everyday lives.

Are you free to quit your job and travel the world? Sure. But you aren’t free from the burdens of money, responsibility towards others, and the simple functions of your own body. We are not free from ourselves and from the constraints of our minds.

We are all being controlled by the wants and desires of others. They want us to buy their product. They want us to spend our time on them. They want us to love them and to be loved in return. They want us to be happy.

We are not free. There is no such thing as freedom. And who is to blame for all this?
