I really enjoy this movie. I think it accomplishes what a science fiction film should do, which is make you think. This film makes me question the subjectivity of reality, or the probability of my actions in an alternate universe, or whether or not I could be content living in a world where everything I loved was starting to feel broken. If you saw an alternate world where things were better, would you choose to live in that world?

So I'm starting to piece it together. The movie is called Coherence. Everything starts out blurry in terms of visuals and the relationships between characters. We slowly form a clear picture as things progress, only for the film to shake it up and make us realize that nothing is ever perfectly clear. The people you know are never exactly who they claim to be, and neither are you.

It's nice to see a concept of alternate realities when they all start existing at the same time. Each of the characters actions in each reality is not dependent on a lifetime of choices, but only what conversations they had as soon as the comet appeared. And isn't it crazy to think that in so many possible worlds, there is one where everything would be okay?

Maybe I'm not being clear enough for you. Well tough luck. I don't have all the time in the world to write this review. Why don't you just ask for a more concise review from the Levin who woke up later? Or the Levin who didn't put milk in his coffee? Or the Levin who's writing this in a cafe? You're stuck with me. Accept it. I'm the only one here who matters.

Isn't it crazy how almost all of the dialog was improvised? Doesn't that just play perfectly into the themes of the movie, because in all likeliness there could be multiple versions of this movie depending solely on how it's edited. The actors chose which version to be in. And it seems fitting that they'd choose the version where everything goes to shit.

There's really no need for further elaboration.
